Harun Razith

Background
I was born in December, 1977 in a small town in South India. Grew up in a city called Bangalore. Earned my engineering degree in Electronics and Communication on Aug. 2000 from Bangalore University. Worked for an Internet Solutions firm as a Visual Strategist for two years. Moved to Boston on Aug. 2002 for higher studies. I am hoping to graduate by December 2004.

Thesis direction
Computer games fascinate me, more particularly the immersive nature of it, the ability to inspire a state of suspended disbelief and be lost in the conflicts of a pre-contrived stratagem. I delve in the areas of immersion, role-playing, identities, vicariousness, catharsis - looking to find newer and efficient means of communication, information organization and design, interactive media creation or problem-solution.

At the moment my graduate thesis is inclined towards the discovery/invention of a common ground in which all (of the things that I am interested in) stand connected. I am more interested in the relevance or higher value of this sort of connection.
