Evan Karatzas

Class of 2005

Background
Evan is a designer and installation artist with over 15 years of professional experience in interactive design. He is the creative director and a founding partner of Hookumu, a web development firm with a client list that includes Bose, Footaction USA, Macromedia, Duracell, and Jordan's Furniture. His professional experience includes building a reputed regional design firm with 30+ employees, maintaining profitability for four consecutive years.

He has received numerous industry awards including a Best in Show MIMC Award for Creative Concept, multiple Macromedia Site of the Day awards, several NewMedia Invision Awards, Web Marketing Association's WebAwards, New England Web Design Awards, and NH Internet Awards. His work has been published in Communication Arts, Graphic Design USA, and Mass High Tech and is showcased on Macromedia Flash MX product packaging.

Evan received his undergraduate degree in Advertising and Interactive Design at Syracuse University and is an MFA Candidate in Communication Design at the Massachusetts College of Art.
