I was born in South Africa, and arrived in this country fifteen years ago, by way of England and Holland. I have worked for the past several years as a book designer. When I accepted the offer to study at MassArt, I had several clear objectives: to become, first and foremost, an excellent typographer and print designer; to learn about education in the design environment, and finally to discover what the "new" in new media is really all about. I wanted to immerse myself in an environment dedicated to excellence in art and design, where risk-taking is encouraged and supported.

Interests
My work here has been mostly experimental: investigations into self, identity, simultaneity, expression, culture and understanding. I will continue to challenge the dogma and paradigm that have usually governed my work, and hopefully discover a fresh, innovative vision, and a new vocabulary for communication.
